Are you taking on new clients?

I am busy, but I do have some availably at the moment.

How do I book an appointment?

Drop me an email or give me a call so I can get an idea of your child’s individual requirements.

How long do appointments normally last?

Typically my therapy sessions last an hour, however the initial assessment session can last up to two hours depending on how complex the child’s difficulties are.

What happens during an initial assessment?

At the beginning we will have a quick conversation about your concerns and anything highlighted in the questionnaire which you will be asked to complete before the session. This also gives the child a chance to settle in the new surroundings. I then carry out the assessment and feed back my findings to you and give the child a small play break before trialing a few different types of therapy to see which one is the most effective.

What is the outcome of an intial assessment?

After the assessment, you have the option of either proceeding with regular therapy sessions or the therapist can write a program for you to follow.

How often will my child receive therapy?

Dependant on the needs of the child this can range from weekly to monthly. For monthly clients the emphasis is on the parents delivering the therapy and the therapist montiors and set new targets.
